OHIP Coverage

                 OHIP Eye exam Coverage New Regulations:

As of Sept. 01, 2023 people aged 65 and older will be covered for one eye exam every 18 months, unless they have an eligible medical condition affecting their eyes such as macular degeneration, glaucoma or diabetes etc which are covered every 12 months.

​

Adults between age 20 and 64, OHIP eye exam coverage will be determined by the Optometrists according to guideline. There is no more physician referrals required.

​

Children under 20 years old is continuing to be covered once every 12 months.

​

ODSP and OWP patients are continuing to be covered once every 24 months.

​
